Hosting Family for Thanksgiving

Kristen and I were delighted to host a good-sized group of family (both sides) for Thanksgiving. We had 22 adults plus our two kiddos. It was so fun! Potluck style was a must!

We’d bought a new table earlier this year but with the large group we had to add two more tables to have room for everyone!

Kristen did such a nice job prepping the table!

To help prep for the festivities, Joshua took a trip down to Joel’s parents for a couple days ahead of Thanksgiving. Getting the table setup, house cleaned up, and food prep started was so much easier with just the 5-month-old and not the 2.5-year-old around! Joshua had a really fun time too, helping bake some pies. He made his own raisin pie, which he was very proud to add to the potluck on Thanksgiving day!

One of our favorites parts of the Thanksgiving holiday is spending time together with family and friends after the meal is over. It’s great to not be in a rush and just be together.
