8 Months and Still So Happy!

Our little buddy Isaac is now 8 months, and he is still such a happy little guy! Time continues to feel like it’s marching on so quickly, and yet many things with Isaac haven’t really changed in the last month: he’s still not really into food, he’s still not crawling, and he still only has two teeth. He is definitely continuing to get bigger, have more opinions, and practice verbalizing sounds more than before.

No rush – we’re very happy to just have a happy baby and enjoying him as a part of our family!

Happy 7 Months, Isaac!

The year continues to fly by, and our newest little buddy continues to get bigger and bigger! He’s still such a happy and easy baby; we are starting to see some more opinions come through though too!

Over the last month, we’ve tried numerous time to have him try food, and he’s just not interested. It’s funny, because everything that’s not food he puts into his mouth, but food – no thank you! I thought I had a little success with a green bean last week, but then out that came too! He has a spot at the table in his high chair and he is disappointed if the rest of us are at the table, and he’s not in his chair with us. I guess that’s a start anyway!

We discovered over the last month that he can sit up! Just out of the blue he was able to sit up for minutes at a time, so we probably should have tried it earlier!

We love you, Isaac, and are so happy you are a part of our family!

Isaac’s 6-month birthday – first food

It’s truly hard to believe that six months ago today, Isaac entered the world and our family. He’s such a happy and fun little guy, and we can’t imagine what our family would be like without him.

On this, his 1/2 birthday, he got to try food for the first time! We tried rice cereal (made with breastmilk) and pureed squash. He was NOT a fan of either!

A Day at the Lake

Today we enjoyed a delightful time at the the lake with a bunch of my (Joel’s) family. The weather was in the 70s, which was cooler than we’d expect or prefer for a summer day in mid-August, but that definitely didn’t stop the fun!

This was Isaac’s first time on a boat! He didn’t love the life jacket which he needs to wear, but he came around and seemed to enjoy his time on the boat eventually.

Baby Isaac – Month 5

We continue to be so thankful that this little guy is a part of our family! He’s truly a source of joy and delight beyond what we thought could be possible. His brothers love him, and he loves them too. So fun!
